THE FIRST HERD
We're working towards a fairly big milestone at Bowood.
Our first cattle.
As first-generation farmers, we're building Bowood slowly, one piece at a time, and we'd love our customers to be part of this particular chapter.
So we're doing something a little different.
Purchase a First Herd Voucher and we'll put that money directly towards purchasing our small starter herd.
But this isn't a donation.
Every rand you spend is still yours to spend at Bowood.
Your voucher can be redeemed against products from our online store, used over time, or gifted to somebody else to enjoy.
You're simply buying from Bowood a little earlier than you normally would, while helping us make a fairly significant step forward on the farm.
One day, when those first cows are standing in the paddock, we'll be able to say:
our customers helped put them there.
Bowood was born from a desire to slow down and eat with intention.
We create naturally fermented sourdough and thoughtfully sourced staples made the old way — with time, care, and honest ingredients. Food that nourishes deeply and brings people together.
For us, this is more than food. It’s a family-built lifestyle rooted in patience, connection, and community.
We take the time, so you don’t have to.
